Set Decoration and Design
I am a trained set designer predominantly working as a Set Decorator in film and TV, based in London.
After eight years working as a set designer for theatre in Australia, a relocation to the UK in 2018 inspired a transition to the film industry. After exploring various Art Department roles, I discovered that my skills and interests are best aligned within the Set Decoration department.
Graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art (Design), I spent 8 years working in theatre, building a career as a set and costume designer and working for many of Australia’s leading companies.
I believe that my experience in theatre gives me a unique perspective to bring to the film industry: the resourcefulness, the creative thinking, and the experience of working intimately with directors, lighting designers, prop makers and other craftspeople are all part of my practice now.
I recently served as Set Decorator for upcoming A24 series It Get Worse. Other film/TV work includes Elden Ring (A24), The Woman in Cabin 10 (Netflix) and Warfare (A24); Black Doves (Netflix), Slow Horses (AppleTV), Knuckles (Paramount+) and Great Expectations (BBC).
Alongside my screen work, I have an ongoing role as Associate Set Designer for the West End musical & Juliet, working with designer Soutra Gilmour to adapt the set as it tours around the world. I have travelled to Australia, the US and Germany, working with both the original creators and local teams to maintain the design.
In 2017 I received a Sydney Theatre Award for Little Shop of Horrors, and have been nominated for four Green Room Awards, two Australian Production Design Guild Awards, and an additional Sydney Theatre Award.
